Some time ago I organised to host a swap project.. which is now complete.. cept for me.. am embarrassed to admit that I am waaaaay behind (no mojo, then surgery, then a studio in limbo).. but am now finally catching up...
Studio is still a shambles with loads of stuff I am storing for daughter, but it goes in three weeks and I will finally have lots more room and be able to set the studio up the way I wanted from the start without working around furniture and boxes that arent supposed to be there... In the meantime I am working on a desk with about 18" x 30" of room :-( very hard to find things, and work.. cause whatever I want is usually buried under everything else I am using.. lol.. but back to catchup
The 'brief' was to use fabric as a background - and stay within the theme set by the receipent.. Barb Thomas chose 'Crows and Ravens' in Greens... so this is the page I did for her (double sided). One side is transparency over fabric.. the other is fabric with paper, translucent gesso, collaged images attached with mounting tape so they sit up 3D like from the pages, some rub ons and a stamped twinchie..... its postal tomorrow.. so I hope she likes it :-)
