Nest Watch

Mama is still on the nest.. though we have a fatality... one egg smashed to bits on the concrete below :-(

  Dont know the how or why of it... but hopefully the last remaining egg makes it....

Well, I feel like I have been away.. not nec from home.. but from life

Have been off 'work' (real work where I get paid lol) for the last two weeks while I recover from surgery.. Had a deviated septum that was interfering with breathing straightened, and my chronic sinsus's cleared out along with loads of nasal polyps (caused by allergy to just about everything airborne lol)... Don't you just love menopause.. Never had hayfever or anything till I hit menopause..now just about everything makes me sneeze and irritates the sinus sigh....

 Am feeling much better day by day.. And in fact today when I cooked some crumpets I actually smelt them as they popped up...small thing yes... but I have had NO sense of smell unless I take Prednisolone for about 5 yrs... so to get a whiff on something without meds is very encouraging. 

Have a day out tomorrow first with #1 daughter to the museum to see the Pompeii exhibition and a play day Monday with Eliza, Lucy and Glenda... Then its back to the grindstone...

Recuperating

Am on Day 4 after the FESS surgery....  feeling a bit better each day, though the nose is still very blocked.. and running at the same time...as per usual my life is full of contradictions lol.

I get the plastic splints out of the nose this Friday... they are there to hold the repaired deviated setpum in place while it heals... cant wait for that.. they are sooooo big that once they are out my nose will HAVE TO be less blocked.  In the meantime I am sleeping lots and killing lots of hours playing Mafia on Facebook lol. 

I have this week and next off work, so hopefully by the weekend I will be feeling sufficiently 'human' to actually enjoy my second week off... here's hoping anyway!  

Havent been up to doing any arting yet - but am feeling more like it each day...

Wet, Cold and Frosty

 Well the lovely Melbourne weather just continues to delight! NOT!!

 Still wet and cold... had to wash the ice off the windscreent this morning and we had a good healthy layer of frost on the ground.   While everything is looking lovely and green am over wet dripping plants and icy winds! 

Kinda feel like my garden gnome, he's wet, cold, and over it!

Have just been notified my new camera is now in the hands of Fedex!  can't wait... its apparently due in the next one to three days... am off to do a 'tour' of the Spirit of Tasmania on Saturday with Eva and Lucy so will be able to try it out then..

Creative Soul Retreat  Little Houses (for our swap) all went postal last week and are starting to arrive at thier destinations across the country.. am really looking forward to seeing what the girls come up with... we will all have a litte row of 42 houses when they are swapped back out...  

What A Week!

Sometimes the weeks go by quietly, just limping along in tune with the grey foggy skies we have had all week... sometimes they hurtle madly from disaster to mayhem and back.. I think I have almost survived one of those vbg

Monday was the funeral of a lovely man, taken too soon at 73.  Thursday (today) is my daughters birthday, Saturday afternoon I am teaching techniques at Heavenscent and Saturday night is my nephew's engagement party and between all  that I have worked three days at 'pay the bills' job.

Not the most fun or exciting week I have ever had, but today saw the almost culmination of a lot of behind the scenes work and an idea/plan I have had for a while is almost at the end of its long labour.  Now I feel like a kid who has Santa coming for dinner on christmas day but cant tell anyone yet LOL.

We have some final loose ends to tie off - but it looks like we will have some great news that we can share by the end of June if not sooner.
